Gives Accurate Analysis Of Ammo Performance

The Pro Chrono is a compact, full-featured chronograph that accurately measures velocity readings from 22 to 7,000 feet per second. Lets you record up to 9 strings of 99 shots each and then review the data to find average velocity, standard deviation, and extreme spread. The optional PC USB Interface kit has everything needed to control all of the chronograph functions from your Microsoft Windows-based computer, so you can list velocity strings, compute ft./lbs. of energy, power factors, and even create graphs for easy data comparison and interpretation. The unit is extremely light and portable and comes with ¼"-20 threads in the base for easy mounting to a standard camera tripod.

Data Analysis and storage made easy (13.10.2014)

This is an interesting product. It took awhile to get it up and operating with Win7. The instructions are explicit that you must follow A - B - C - D order. Actually that order does not work. It's more like B - D - C - A to get it to work properly. Once it's operational, and you finally manage to figure out how to retrieve the data and analyze it before attempting to export the data, it actually does a decent job. i have no idea why it doesn't automatically retrieve and analyze the data in real time. The large screen as it records the data is a nice feature. Data export is well done, it would be nice if I didn't have to choose the same options over and over again. Good product, needs some tuning, but it works.

Great product and works great! I used it to check my handgun loads and found it very simple to setup and use. I used a camera tri-pod and it took only 10 mins and I was checking my ammo! I gave it four out of five because the front display cover seems a bit cheap, but it works great.

Great Value (15.06.2012)

I can't say anything negative about this unit. Sure, the face plate is a little flimsy but everything works as claimed. It's light and simple to use. Just make sure to put a sand bag on your tri-pod legs since the unit is light and will topple over in the wind. I wish I could buy more products this good for about $100.00. What a great deal.

IT COULD NOT GET ANY BETTER (02.01.2013)

I had purchased a PACT XP1 in 2004. It was sent back to PACT twice for poor battery life. The PACT was using one 9 volt battery for 12 shot group allowing for the barrel to cool. I live in area that is cold more than 50% of the time. So using the chronograph at above 60 degrees is next to impossible. I Purchased ProChrono and it is amazing. The first day it was very sunny and used the diffusers. It was between 40 to 45 degrees. Shot 136 rounds without one error or miss reading. The second day was cloudy and I did not use the diffusers. It was between 35 to 40 degrees. I shot 199 rounds without one error or miss reading. All of 335 rounds were with one battery. I do not know how many more shots I am going to get out of the first battery. Also the ProChrono has a non-volatile memory so if the battery goes dead and / or you want to review information at home it can be turn off, or the battery can be removed without the loss of information. I can say that to get 335 rounds with PACT it would have cost me very near 125.00 for 9 volt batteries.

Took the Prochrono Digital to the range today. It was foggy and overcast. It read the very first shot and about 50 others without any problems. No errors or wild readings it works great.

This little unit is easy to use, accurate, rugged, and totes well with the rest of your shooting gear. If you don't have one with your range bag, you need to get one.

Easy to set up, easy to use (07.03.2014)

Appears to be "accurate" when checked against known 22LR. It is, by far, the easiest chronograph to set up that I've owned (this is my fourth, some costing as much as a car payment). A bullet passing anywhere within the "supports" is read, something that few others can do. So far I've used it on about 2K rounds, and it has yet to give me an "err" reading.

Did not have the same success (13.10.2014)

I was excited to finally chrono my reloads. It has been a frustrating exercise in futility. First time out, light overcast, mid day sun, it read ZERO shots. Second time, late afternoon, no clouds, but the unit was shaded by the building behind it. Third try, mid day bright sunshine, finally had a few successful reads, but a much higher std dev then I expected to see. out of several 10 shot strings, I only read 3-8 shots.

Worst part has been lack of follow-up from the mfg. I'm more disappointed in that then anything else.

Use this to chrono ammo to ensure it meets power factor for IDPA. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and is very accurate.

I own a speedo magnet chronograph I also tried the lab radar but I still keep coming back to my competition electronics pro chronograph Digital simple to use reliable
