Hornady 22 Caliber (0.224") 55 grain FMJ bullets are built with a rugged AMP® bullet jacket (Advanced Manufacturing Process) that clearly delivers better performance. The thin-plated full metal jacket offered by other manufacturers is easily distorted and often breaks or separates when the bullet impacts the target. The Hornady AMP bullet jacket features virtually zero tolerance for concentricity and near-zero wall thickness variation, punching through targets without deforming or breaking.

Best 55gr. FMJ going (30.10.2015)

Possibly the best 55gr. FMJ available. I've used other manufacturers bullets but have not gotten the consistent accuracy that these bullets give. The attached three shot group at 50 yds. is pretty typical with my pet load out of standard AR with a mil-spec barrel.

Great value, great product (25.11.2015)

Great value, great product. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Have fired 77gr SMK, various military loads, and 55gr Remington. I am able to shot about a 4 inch group at 200 yds and 2 inch group at 100 yds with a Colt LE, 16 inch barrel.

I chose these primarily based on price but I am very pleased with the quality. Very consistent quality, adequately packaged and the price allows guys like me to practice more.

Good bullet - bad "extras" included (26.12.2017)

No issue with the projectiles themselves - they are exactly what you would expect for a bulk bought 55gr. FMJ. When I broke down the original package and transferred them to an ammo can, I noticed a lot of shredded cardboard / dust. Figured it was for moisture absorption or something and just dumped them in an ammo can.

Now that I am actually loading these bullets, I keep finding pieces of glass. Most are the size of a grain of rice, some as large as your finger nails. Not the end of the world, but mildly annoying to have to pick the glass out of the bullet tray before reloading.
