Nosler takes a few extra steps with their brass to make it a premium component for the handloader. The brass is first weigh-sorted to within + or - 0.5 grains, then the flash holes are deburred. Nosler completes the case prep with neck sizing and chamfering the inside and outside of the case mouth. All Nosler unprimed brass bears the Nosler headstamp.

Excellent Brass, Excellent Performance (02.06.2016)

Nosler brass comes pre-prepped, needing nothing really done to it prior to first loading. Picked on one case and got 20, reasonably hot, loads out of it prior to a case-head separation on the 21st firing. Not bad for a belted magnum I thought! Cons: If any, it is a relatively soft brass, however, I don't really know if that's a negative or not!

Outstanding brass (06.01.2017)

No need to weight sort brass. Every piece is within .5 grains of the lot average. No need to prep primer pockets or flash holes. No need to turn necks. No annealing or resizing necessary. Brass is ready to load out of the box. You could spend less money on other brass, but expect to deal with weight inconsistency and the need for a lot of up front brass prep. If that's not enough, Nosler brass has helped me shoot .25 MOA groups at 200 yards with my .300 Win Mag.

Not worth the price (22.03.2017)

I bought these because of the good reviews. I normally use Remington brass and sort them by weight if I want to get persnickety about a certain load. But, since I now have 2 300 win mags, I wanted a different headstamp for the second one and Lapua doesn't make 300 win mag brass. They say they are ready to go out of the box, but when I measured the length, they were 10 to 25 thousandths short of the 2.620 trim to length.

So when they weight sorted them, they weren't the same length, so it didn't matter anyway.

Another thing I noticed when I looked into the case was that the flash hole was beveled excessively for my taste, where it was deburred. That was common to all the cases.

Contacted Nosler about the different case lengths and all of them being at least 10 thousandths short of trim to length. They said that was in spec and all good.

After sorting Remington cases I still come out ahead on number of "good" cases and much better on $$$.

It is sad that Lapua doesn't make belted magnum cases instead of letting norma make them for them. The Lapua cases I have used are far superior to Nosler and cheaper too!

Excellent Brass (01.01.2018)

This brass is ready to go, about the guy whining about 10 thou case length that's 2 human hairs. Extrusion on this brass is excellent. Case necks never have a thin side unlike Remington and other cheap US brass. If you use a bushing size die you may need to go .001 bigger as this brass is a tad thicker at the neck.

Really Tightened up my groups with the consistency of this brass.
