The Professional Super Set contains 120 Magna-Tip bits—the largest selection we’ve ever offered in a Magna-Tip set. Custom grinding bits for a proper fit, or having to put a crucial project on hold while you wait for a specialty screwdriver to arrive are worries of the past, because you’ll always have at your fingertips the correct bit for almost any gun screw. Proper-fitting bits prevent damage to screw slots, so when you’re done the screws are in pristine condition—a sure sign of truly professional gunsmithing work. Made from the same hardened steel used in high-speed industrial impact drivers, these bits are hollow-ground for a no-slip seat in the screw slot, and are precision-balanced to transmit maximum torque smoothly and evenly to the screw. The set includes 75 straight, 4 Phillips, 17 hex (Allen), 11 Torx®, and 13 specialty bits for sights, scope mounts, grip bushings, Ruger ejectors, and other unique applications, plus the handy Magna-Tip Choke Tube Wrench and a hex-to-square adapter that lets you use your Magna-Tip handles to drive ¼" drive sockets. The kit’s seven driver handles ensure you have the handle best suited to any situation. You get the full-size #81 Handle, #84 Hollow Handle, magnetic Law Enforcement Handle, Law Enforcement Hollow Handle, Compact Law Enforcement Handle, the popular Stubby, and our Magna-Tip Ratchet Handle. The heavy duty, three-way Ratchet Handle provides extra leverage for maximum torque transfer to tighten or loosen stubborn screws. The set is also available with all of the above items, including the Ratchet Handle, plus our Adjustable Torque Handle. The Torque Handle ensures you apply the exact amount of required torque in 1 in-lb. increments from 10 to 70 in-lb. to eliminate guesswork and prevent over-or under-tightening critical screws. Worth it, Requirement (17.08.2018)

There's no way to disassemble older guns without marring up the screw heads, unless you use all properly fitting bits on every screw. That's almost impossible to do without this whole kit. Buy it so that these keepsakes aren't all boogered up for everyone who owns them after. Stop damaging and devaluing guns. (staked fasteners and 'original'/'untouched' are different arguments I don't care to delve into here)

The last set you will ever need to buy!! (09.09.2009)

You could buy many sets trying to obtain this assortment as I have, spending way more and still not have a set of this quality and diversity. I have been using this set for about five months now almost on a daily basis and have found it to be the only set I turn to anymore. I spent six weeks taking NRA summer gunsmithing courses this summer and never once needed to borrow a screwdriver from anyone. Everyone needed to borrow from me. Another thing I like about this set is that the smallest sizes do not twist like some of the other sets I have purchased. I'm sure this set will continue to be my go to set for many years to come.

Non of the handles fit in the bench block when this first came in.. One call to brownells and they informed me the problem was being handled. The next week my new block came in and all is well not to mention this set has every driver head you will ever need. Thank you again brownells

Great set, almost perfect (16.04.2013)

I really enjoy this set. It compliments the fixed screw driver set that I have. The only real area that this set could use improvement is by marking all the bits. Many of the allen bits aren't marked, so you're left guessing at what size to use or what size to use in the future. Many have coded markings, but that's it.
I feel they should have applied some sort of markings to the holder to organize the bits. A larger board with extra holes would have been nice for future expansion or simply for grouping of bits in an organized manner.
This set is awesome when paired with the Seekonk torque wrench with the magnabit adapter. I'd recommend it over the torque wrench sold with this Super Set.

Buy Nice or Buy Twice (29.08.2015)

I am a gunsmith and I've been using magna tip bits and drivers for almost 20 years. I bought the super set and no more looking for the proper bit for the odd sized screw. I pretty much require anyone who works in my shop to have this set. I have had a few break but Brownells has always been great about replacing them. A block with extra holes would be nice for extra bits or broken bits that any good gunsmith will turn into a specialty bit. Overall, it's a great kit, little spendy if you are a hobbyist but would still recommend.

I am a professional Gunsmith,

The set is good, I use it daily, i like the selection of bits, i like the handle selection, i will be getting some of the clip tip handles though as there is a little bit of play between the handle and bit.

I can see this lasting a lifetime and that was the reason for buying it. I previously made all my own screwdrivers or "turnscrews" however its time consuming and i like these for their ease of use and practicality throw a few bits in the handle and off to the range without a huge box of useless stuff etc.. stick them in the capri certified torque screwdriver and torque whatever you want to the right setting without worrying about the bit breaking.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the quality and completeness of this set.

My issue is that an opportunity was missed to laser etch the delrin storage block with the bit descriptions (abbreviated, of course; ie, PH2, T20, etc), and possibly even color fill them in for easier identification. At the price, I kinda would have hoped for this.

As one previous reviewer mentioned, some of the bits aren't marked. What happens when that one wears out and you're not sure what replacement to order? What if the tray spills over and you're not sure which bits fell behind the bench, etc?

I know most people will organize the bits to fit their usage (most used up front, etc), but I myself would have liked the block to have been marked.

I'm looking into getting someone to do this for me as it is. If it is too cost prohibitive, then I'll likely mark each hole with a paint pen or sharpie for ID, or use label tape and call it good.
