No gunsmithing required, extra heavy-duty ambidextrous sling swivel mount simply clamps onto the buffer tube. Includes 1¼", mil-spec., push-button, quick-detach sling swivel that can be mounted on either side or the center of the adapter body. Fits adjustable M4-type buttstocks Hard coat anodized, 6061 aluminum body with a matte black finish is built to take extreme duty use without failure. Won t interfere with the operation of stock. Makes an excellent choice for adding an easy quick-release feature to any single-point, two-point, or three-point tactical sling. Made in the USA.

A good sling holder (12.04.2011)

I like that the sling adapter came with extra screws. The screws are small and easily lost so by adding twice as many as needed, MI was thinking about the customster. THe sling adapter did not fit flush with my M-4 but it's very close and secure. If it was flush I would have given 5 stars. I am proud of this purchase and will not need a new adapter

A great product but... (17.07.2011)

This is a simple and good quality product, but is obviously designed for a different stock/buffer tube than mine. The locator pin lug is too long to but into the stock nut, I will cut off the 1/2" lug so it is flush fitting. It is also 2/100 of an inch oversize for the buffer tube, but there is a ridge. which I will grind off to fit. I can't help but think that this has been designed back to front. On the positive is the three point quick attachment points for the swivel.

Adapter has to be milled down to fit! (21.02.2014)

I had to mill off 1/8 inch from the lug that protrudes out at the bottom. Also had to mill more out of the slot where buffer tube is, to make this thing fit the Colt LE6920MP-B. AFTER all the milling it now fits excellent.
