Comfortable, Non-Slip MICARTA~ Grips

Durable Micarta® panels provide a custom look to your 1911. Available in three Micarta® types: Canvas, thickest of the three with canvas threads in the milled finish for additional grip texture. All resist temperature changes and have length-wise ridges that resemble alligator back hide for a distinct look and a comfortable, non-slip grip. Models available for Government standard, slim.

SPECS: Standard is approximately .25" (6.3mm) thick, Slim is approximately .175" (4mm) thick.

I like the grips but the standard grip bushings on a 1911 are to tall when the screws are tightened down all the way the grips are not tight. Modification of the bushings and grip screws is necessary t install.

These are designed for use with "slim" bushings... the other reviewer seems to have not used the correct bushings leading to the fitting required comment.

I swapped bushings from standard to slim on my 5" 1911 and these grips fit great and vastly slimmed the overall width of the pistol. Makes it easier to conceal and also makes standard controls much easier to get too... no extended mag releases, safeties of slide stops necessary in my opinion.

Best grips I have ever owned (22.03.2011)

Not only are these the best looking grips they are functional. My hands tend to sweat alot, my Mil-tac grips slide around a little, the Gatorbacks grip much more positive.
