Replaces This Commonly Marred Part So Pistol Looks New Again

A small, but never overlooked part on any 1911 pistol. Restores the look and function of the magazine release after years of field stripping has caused unsightly damage to the screw slot. A must-have part whenever installing a new magazine catch that does not include this critical part. Machined from hardened steel, then polished for smooth function, and given a hot blue finish. Two per package.

Una parte piccola, ma mai trascurata su qualsiasi pistola 1911. Ripristina l'aspetto e la funzione di sgancio caricatore dopo anni di Dietti ha causato danni antiestetici nello slot di vite. Una parte di dovere-avere ogni volta che l'installazione di una nuova rivista cattura che non include questa parte critica. Lavorati in acciaio temprato, quindi lucido per funzione liscia e dato una finitura blu calda. Due per ogni pacchetto.

Specifiche: acciaio temprato, blu.. 512"(1,3 cm) di lunghezza. Due per ogni pacchetto.

These fit properly, and you get two for the price of one.

Brownells doesn't mention it in the description, but the package from the manufacturer clearly states that this is a set of two, so enjoy.

Here's the catch lock (twice) (17.07.2014)

This slot is 90 degrees from the Catch Lock I replaced.

Aligned w the lug, not as pictured. Has no affect on the function but some might find it aesthetically a problem. I kinda like it better myself. DO NOT make the mistake of thinking that is a screw head. It is a 1/4 turn key, not a screw.

Once buggerd up it's a real PAIN to get it unlocked. Do not force it! 1/4 turn CCW is easy when you have pressed the button in exactly to the "sweet spot". Not enough, or too much, will prevent the turning. On my gun the "sweet spot" was back up a tiny bit from as far as you could press it. Once I found it, it was slick as a key turn. Same deal going back in. Putting the lock into the catch is pretty easy as you can see what to do. If you can't get to come easy you ain't holding your mouth right. Be patient or get help. One Pkg. contained 2 locks.
