"Can't Miss" Release Button Aids In Ultra-Fast Magazine Changes

Extended, drop-in replacement for factory part offers a wide, flat finger pad for fast, can t miss magazine changes. Perfect for competition, tactical operations, and self-defense any high-stress situation where the speed of a magazine change makes the difference between success and failure. Nearly three times the surface area of the factory button with crisp, 24 lpi checkering for positive, nonslip finger contact, so you release the mag on the very first try. Stands .225" higher to give you extra leverage that ensures the mag catch disengages completely. Precision machined from 4140 steel and heat treated for added hardness and wear resistance, with a tough, black oxide finish. May require minor fitting.

SPECS: Steel, oxide finish, matte black. Fits any AR-15/M16/CAR-15/M4 with a USGI-spec magazine release.

Esteso, rimpiazzo da parte fabbrica offre un pad dito largo, piatto di veloce, può t perdere modifiche rivista. Perfetto per la concorrenza, operazioni tattiche e autodifesa qualsiasi situazione di alta tensione dove la velocità di cambiamento rivista fa la differenza tra successo e fallimento. Quasi tre volte la superficie del pulsante di fabbrica con croccante, 24 lpi zigrinati per positivo, il contatto delle dita antiscivolo, quindi rilasciare il mag sulla prima prova. Basamenti. 225" più in alto per darvi potenza d'una leva supplementare che assicura la cattura di mag di spegnersi completamente. Precisione lavorati in acciaio 4140 e il calore trattato per maggiore durezza e resistenza all'usura, con un ossido duro, nero finitura. Può richiedere il montaggio minore.

Specifiche: finitura in acciaio, ossido, nero opaco. Si adatta a qualsiasi AR-15/M16/CAR-15/M4 con un rilascio rivista USGI-spec.

Good but not great (20.01.2010)

I purchased this item along with a larger order of items for my AR-15, and it was easy to install, but the fit was very loose. I didn't really like it after that so I am sending it back to Brownells. I will use that money for other great items from Brownells.

Brownells mag catch button (27.03.2010)

You must remove bolt catch to properly install this part or you can not screw it in far enough to keep the magazine catch from rotating up or down when you depress the button.

Buyer beware (24.12.2010)

Need to remove bolt catch to install. Even after removing bolt catch, it is too loose to rely on. If this is somthing you just got to have, I would suggest using a low grade locktite to prevent the catch side from dropping down when depressing the magazine release.

sticks out a country mile on sig556 (16.05.2011)

maybe works better on AR-15s, but now I understand the two piece approach. The flanged top does not allow you to insert the release in far enough and still thread in the release latch. So its going to stick up very high regardless of the gun. I liked it because the head went so far to the rear which is what the SIG556 really needs.

Was also pretty loose in the slot.

Not meant for receivers with ambidextrous bolt catch. However, when paired with an ambidextrous (e.g., NORGON) magazine release lever, this huge button installs very easy and does not allow opposing lever to rotate when pressed. You'll never make a faster mag swap!

This is a very well made part that greatly improves your access to the mag release. It is easy to install, after you remove the bolt catch, a minor inconvenience. Put one on my Colt H-Bar Match and my Rock River Predator Pursuit.

Sticks out a little too far (05.10.2012)

I have not had any functional problems with it at all, it works just fine. This would be an excellent product if they would re-engineer it so that it did not stick out so far. I understand that it is supposed to be oversize, but did not expect it to stick out as far as it does. Installed in a Mega billet lower if that helps anyone.

Great button (30.09.2013)

Even though I live in CA my guns are pre ban and registered so I can legally have them. This mag release works GREAT! I now have them on 3 of my AR's and have had no problems with fit, function, or appearance. Even with my short fingers it is right there for fast mag changes in competition.

A well made part but... (16.10.2014)

This safety button is very well made and finished but due to as listed below, it will be returned.

1-It sticks out too far and would snag on everything.

2- It is a very loose fit in the $230.00 billet lower that my customer is having me build.

3- the design allows for the mag catch itself to get out of its mortice if the button is pressed in all the way. That would not let the gun retain the magazine and defeat the purpose of the mag catch in the first place. My customer said no way!! It will be returned to Brownells under their famous satisfaction guarantee.

Not bad but could be easily improved. (30.10.2014)

Overall I like it. Again a design issue arises. This is designed to enhance or lengthen the magazine release button. It may be an assumption however I think buyers are looking for the additional length to be rearward. It is lengthened rearward but is also lengthened forward for reasons unknown to me. I know I read about concerns of the button being caught on clothing or a sling or other object because the enhancement makes an area that can catch on things. Not being able to depress the magazine release and allowing the magazine to be changed could be a problem.....you think? Adding another frontal area for that potential problem seems to be unnecessary. Hey just my observations. Sometimes less is more.

Over sized Mag Release (10.10.2017)

Looks good,,well made,I'm not fitting it to any of my guns as one other reviewer states ...

"the design allows for the mag catch itself to get out of its mortice if the button is pressed in all the way" This is going to be a real problem hunting and in competitive shooting.
