Good Mag (07.01.2011)

Good price for a good mag. Important to have plenty of these on hand considering that the feed ramp is part of the magazine and not the receiver.

Does not actually fit the AR-7 (20.11.2011)

Dimensions do not match the factory AR-7 (Henry) magazine. Length of the magazine (front-to-back, in direction of the cartridge) is nearly 1/100th of an inch too long.

Sure, you can force it into the magazine well, but you'll end up using pliers to get it back out.

I'm sending mine back, asking for a refund, and ordering a spare mag directly from Henry.

didn't ramp up enough (02.12.2011)

I have a charter arms mfr gun that runs flawless with mag that came with it. This mag looks different with the wire/spring down the side. This mag lips & ramp sits slightly lower than my mag and will not chamber a round. Dimension from mag catch up to lips is about 3/32" less than my mag. Bullet nose hangs at lower edge of chamber and jambs. This mag is not new but used with scratches, wear and a ding in base plate.

I purchased one of these for my new Henry Survival Rifle. It looks and works exactly like the two magazines that came with the rifle from the factory.

No good for my Henry AR-& (24.06.2017)

Tried to use with my Henry AR-7 but it kept jamming on the 3rd or 4th feed every time. I do not know why but I tried it with 4 different types of ammo and it seemed to work best with the CCI- HP 22LR the best. Remington, Winchester,& CI did not work well at all(not enough power).

Won't Fit Mag Well (05.02.2018)

Read the other reviews, should have listened. This magazine does not fit a Charter Arms AR-7. It is too big. Would have to thin the material too much to make it fit.

Review Update (06.02.2018)

For you Charter Arms AR-7 owners who want to make this mag fit, grind the front vertical edges down a few thousandths to make it fit in the well, then file the top of the mag release notch a few thousandths to fit the mag release properly if the latch won't engage.
