Trimmer Platform The idea for this platform originated from a writer/customer of ours. The platform is a mounting board for the L.E. Wilson trimmer series that provides storage space for nine (9) case holders and a tapping block for knocking the cases out of the holder. The polyethylene platform has rubber feet, but most of us prefer it c-clamped to the bench. L.E. Wilson Stainless Micrometer Trimmer with Stand The L.E. Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer utilizes the most accurate trimmer in the world in its stainless steel configuration, an exclusive Sinclair International product. The compact micrometer unit is incorporated into the stop bearing which allows the user to easily make quick trim adjustments in .001" increments. The L.E. Wilson Stainless Micro trimmer uses a case holder that holds the case by the body taper and utilizes no pilots during the case trimming operation. Trimmer case holder, cutter housing, and adjustment stop sit in perfect alignment with each other. This guarantees an identical trim length for each case. When trimming cases shorter than 1.3” such as pistol cases, the use of a spacer (part number WX11) is necessary. The L.E. Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer sets on top of our Sinclair Mounting Stand with Shark Fin Clamp. The Shark Fin enables the user to quickly trim and exchange cases in the case holder. All of our L.E. Wilson trimmer accessories work with the New L.E. Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer. Best Trimmer I've Ever Used; Great Value (29.03.2013)

I have tried the Lyman and similar hand trimmers and "auto" trimmers and none of them produced the consistency that I was looking for and all of them - no matter what the ad copy says - required trial and error to get close to the exact length I desired. I finally invested in the Wilson trimmer with the micrometer and took advantage of the sale price for the package with the platform kit. This is hands down the best trimmer I have ever used. IMHO it is incredibly user friendly and the results are consistent case after case. Dialing in the exact length that you want is a snap. The weighted platform kit is very thoughtfully designed - - no more bolting the trimmer to a block of wood and clamping it to the bench - the platform provides sufficient stability to work the cases and when I'm done I just stow the whole kit until I need it again. If you're committed to NOT using a hand crank-type trimmer and like the Lyman attachment for using a hand drill there ARE after-market adapters that will allow you to do the same thing with this machine. I could not be happier with this purchase. The only downside is the price and if you adopt a "you get what you pay for" view this is still a huge bargain. I paid less for other trimmers - all of which were harder to use and produced inconsistent results. Buying a cheaper tool that doesn't do what it's expected to do is just throwing money away.

Quick easy set up, and quick to change between calibers. Platform is pretty stable but I do have to keep a hand on it while trimming. Little block for seating the cases is a sweet accessory too.

Quick easy set up, and quick to change between calibers. Platform is pretty stable but I do have to keep a hand on it while trimming. Little block for seating the cases is a sweet accessory too.
