Helps Extend Receiver Life & Reduce Felt Recoil

Shock-absorbing polyurethane buffer replaces the bolt stop pin to eliminate metal-to-metal contact and extend receiver life. Cushions the bolt’s rearward motion to help prevent receiver cracking, reduce felt recoil, and enable quieter cycling.

SPECS: Polyurethane. Fits 10/22 in .22 LR only. This buffer may be manufactured in various colors but when properly installed it will not be visible.

Easy to install and works as described.

Poor Quality Control, Uneven Ends (21.12.2011)

The buffer provided looks nothing like the picture and is jet black, it is cut too short and at an angle on one end. Really poor quality control... it will probalby do the job but will look unfitted.

There's no rocket science going into this part. I can't really tell if it reduces felt recoil (and doubt that it does) but it makes sense that it would extend the life of the receiver and bolt. For this price, I don't see how this can be a bad thing.

Like the other reviewer said, a filmsy plastic tubing, poorly cut.
I think the packaging costs more than the product itself.
Anyone could go to a hardware store and buy a roll of cheap plastic tubing and cut it to size, which is what it looks like they did.

I would send it back, but shipping will cost more than the part itself.

buffer pins are not straight ends sheared off and not perpindicular also too short

Waste of money (16.01.2013)

Quality was poor, ends not cut straight and cylinder was slighty disformed. Item fits snugly but will not go all the way through. Even added a drop of breakfree and did not help. Using the slightest hand pressure exerted to make it flush, the end will mushroom. Buy at your own risk...

Easy install (16.10.2016)

The one I received was a better fit than the factory installed seel buffer that fell out once receiver was removed from stock. Well made good fit.

too difficult to install (02.02.2018)

may work for the intended purpose, but way too difficult to install. they will never go back in when I remove them to remove bolt.
