Two-Lever Design, Fully Adjustable Gives A Clean, Crisp Release

Versatile, two-lever design provides a full range of adjustment that’s ideal for target, varmint and hunting rifles. Overtravel, sear engagement and pull weight can be safely adjusted from a crisp, light, four ounces for target and long range varmint rifles, plus up to three pounds for big game hunting. Replaces trigger housing, uses factory sear for consistent and repeatable sear break. Installation uses factory safety, requires no alterations to rifle. NOTE: Will NOT fit rifles with AccuStock or any rifle with bolt release near triggerguard.

SPECS: Steel housing with steel trigger and parts, black, matte finish. Fits all 110 series, long action rifles, manufactured since January 1966 except the Accustock models, plus 10 series short actions. Includes video instructions on CD-ROM.

The trigger Savage should have made. (18.07.2010)

Easy to install, easy to adjust, easy to use.

I'm a Savage fan, and I'm always on the lookout for better gear for my rifles than what the factory offers....and I do not like the Accutrigger, nor the newer Accutarget trigger.

When Rifle Basix announced the Sav-2 trigger years ago, I immediately ordered one for my 110FP in .308. It took less than 15 minutes to install, and perhaps another 10 to safely fine tune it to the advertised 4oz pull.

Shooting it is a dream. No take-up, and the tiniest bit of over-travel after a perfect break. There is no thinking about the shot, simply concentrate on the crosshairs and wish the trigger to go....and bang!

No disappointments.

danger, danger, danger (26.03.2011)

The first instruction on receiving the trigger is to close bolt slowly to not fire the gun. I should have caught on then. After testing and retesting for that I went to the range. I fired 35 rounds. 32 on purpose. 2 on closing the bolt ever so softly. 1 after closing the bolt, removing my hand and 2-3 seconds later having it go off w/ no human aid. This is my second trigger this mfg. The first had to be rebuilt. OK after that. This one speaks for itself. Never, never a third.

Great Trigger (19.04.2011)

Crisp, Safe, easy to install and adjust. I have installed two of these in my guns. The instructions were easy to follow. The range of adjustment is huge. The trigger came set at 4oz.
I set one to 1lb. for my wife. Great trigger!

One Outstanding Trigger (11.05.2011)

This trigger went on my Savage Model 10 LE, H-S Prec bull barrel 308 rifle replacing the Accutrigger. The stock trigger adjustment spring was bent by the former owner and it could not be adjusted any less than 2pd-11oz. The replacement was easy to install and with the included DVD video instructions, made it all that more easier. The trigger came pre-assembled so the time it took to install was cut down a lot. In the video, they gave a warning about very light trigger pull weights, please comprehend that warning. Having a very light trigger weight on mine kept firing when I closed the bolt. I have it now set to an average weight of 14.4 ~ 15.1 oz. with no accidental firing. I agree with Rifle Basix on trying to set the trigger pull too low, it is a dangerous practice. Be safe, shoot hard, shoot often, have fun!

Works great! Follow the instructions, and all will go well. When you install this trigger do it right for saftey.

Seems to be Well Built (14.09.2011)

When I installed the trigger, I was impressed with the fit and function. Unfortunately the trigger will not fit Accu-Trigger model gun if your bolt release is in the front of your trigger guard. Didn't realize that until I was trying to put the action back in the stock... I would recommend this to anyone with the standard trigger guard and bolt release on the right side of the receiver.

Excellent trigger (08.07.2013)

Replaced Sharp Shooter Supply triggers with this one. Wise choice. Even at 6oz on my f class rifle, there are no slam fires during bolt closing, gives crisp feel and nice let-off. This trigger is on a 12 BVSS (223), 10FP (308), 110FCP (338 Lapua) and Model 12BR (6BR). All work superb. This is how much I appreciate a good trigger. Not difficult to install provided you follow instructions.

It broke my safety tab (10.08.2015)

I got this for a customer and was shocked to not find paper instructions but a DVD with both types of install. I watched the dvd first and then followed it along and when it calls for putting the safety bar in the trigger bracket thats when the tab you push with your thumb snapped like a twig. So I ordered a new one from Savage and tried again this time it didnt break but couldnt operate the safety to the fullest extent. I called savage they said the part should drop in so i called Rifle Basix and a guy answer who was rude as could be and just kept telling me to watch the DVD so I returned it and got a timney. Now im not bashing Rifle Basix just this model of trigger they make I love my 700 trigger by them

Rifle basix 2 (07.01.2016)

This is a very excellent choice of trigger for the savage rifles, I have used a lot of different triggers through the years and this one by far has exceeded all of them. It's easy to install just follow the instructions and is very SAFE down to under a pound
